6. Conclusions The review of Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (CFRPs) for energy storage applications highlights their significant potential and versatility in contributing to advancements in energy storage technologies.
The applications of porous fibers for energy storage will be briefly presented. Some other applications such as for sensing, adsorption, separation, and drug delivery will also be mentioned. 2. Porous Fiber Processing and Manufacturing Technologies There are many ways for the pore generation in fibers.
To tackle machining challenges, specialized tooling and materials tailored for CFRP composites are essential. For energy storage applications, optimizing mechano-electrochemical performance involves interface engineering and material design tailored for enhanced compatibility and performance.
Future research directions should focus on refining synthesis techniques, optimizing material properties for specific energy storage requirements, and addressing economic and environmental concerns to further establish CFRPs as pivotal materials in the evolving landscape of energy storage.
