The development of multi-storage systems in wind and photovoltaic systems is a crucial area of research that can help overcome the variability and intermittency of renewable energy sources, ensuring a more stable and reliable power supply. The main contributions and novelty of this study can be summarized as follows:
Electrochemical, mechanical, electrical, and hybrid systems are commonly used as energy storage systems for renewable energy sources [3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16]. In, an overview of ESS technologies is provided with respect to their suitability for wind power plants.
Decentralization of energy systems: Energy storage can enable the decentralization of energy systems, allowing for greater local control and self-sufficiency.
