When the PV coverages of the daylight, view, and spandrel sections increase by 40%, the corresponding average reduction of electricity taken from the utility grid is 106 Wh, 206 Wh, and 151 Wh, respectively. In summary, the PV coverage of the view section has the most significant impact on net power generation. Fig. 12.
For the personnel activity core zone (1.0 m < depth < 3.0 m), the average UDIs of VPV curtain wall with 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% PV coverages of the daylight section are 71.0%, 73.3%, 76.0%, 78.1%, and 81.0%, respectively.
Fig. 8 illustrates the influence of PV coverage variation of different sections of the VPV curtain wall on useful daylight illuminance (UDI) at various depths of the work plane. Generally, the PV coverage of the daylight section has the most significant impact on UDI, while changes in PV coverage of the spandrel section have minimal effect.
