Overall, the deployment of energy storage systems represents a promising solution to enhance wind power integration in modern power systems and drive the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient energy landscape. 4. Considering the economic benefits of the combined wind-storage system and the promotion value of using energy storage to suppress wind power fluctuations, it is of great significance to study the optimal allocation of energy storage capacity for wind farms.
To address these issues, an energy storage system is employed to ensure that wind turbines can sustain power fast and for a longer duration, as well as to achieve the droop and inertial characteristics of synchronous generators (SGs).
Taking full account of the demand of wind farms to extend the service life of self-built energy storage and suppress wind power fluctuations, an optimization model of wind farm capac-ity configuration based on CES service is established. Through theoretical analysis and case studies, the following conclusions can be drawn:
